Then maybe you will find something here for you. I’m a mixed-bag creative, artist, writer, photographer, editor, novelist, interior designer, and more, so this blog will be eclectic at times. I used to think it was a drawback not to be solely devoted to one thing. Now I see the way it has all threaded into a bigger picture of who I am. I am often using little bits of all my creative endeavours at one time.
God has not taken me the straight and pain-free way to anything, but I have learned so much on the roads he has taken me down. I hope that somewhere in my stories and insights is a nugget that will inspire you on your own journey, help you with your own writing and creating, or just help you feel you are not alone after all.
As I share my stories, I’m going to be honest and open with you. I cannot separate who I have become and what I have learned from the God, the King of Kings, who journeyed with me, and the supernatural things I have seen and experienced. They are my stories, and I can only tell them like they are.
My writing and creative journey hasn’t been sunshine and roses. I think a creative life seldom is. It can sometimes be a lonely and difficult one, but I was called to experience the things I have experienced and to feel what I have felt so that my writing and art would be all the richer for it – and so would my relationship with God. All that means is, if you are struggling too, and who isn’t in some area of life, you are not alone. I hear you. I get you.
I find it hard to separate my stories and advice into neat sections, but I’ve tried, so if there’s a specific topic you’re here for, such as more of the nitty-gritty writing advice, select a category from the list in the column on the right.
