UPDATE: As of 2024, we’ll be offering some of Lisa’s favourites as museum-quality prints, packs of 10 cards and more, including all new ones currently not available for free use.
Like both of us, Lisa is very much a mixed-bag creative. As well as being a writer, artist and editor, she also dabbles in photography and several other creative pursuits.
A few years ago she was asked to do several day-in-the-life photoshoots for people. She also worked with Naomi in collecting photos for Naomi’s design jobs, whether as a generic stock pile for Naomi to grab from or specific photos for a specific client. And Lisa spent many years carrying her camera with her everywhere she went, looking for stock photo opportunities, or just looking for things that inspired her. Some of the surplus or “seconds” she started posting on a site as a free download for people looking for photos for websites, blogs, newsletters etc. It quickly took off and was linked to and recommended around the world.
While she doesn’t add as regularly anymore, especially with Willow Lane Art & Design taking up more of her time, she still adds to the photos. And we have an idea that in 2023 we might take a selection of our favourites and turn them into prints or products. We shall see.
Below are some of Lisa’s favourites including some exclusive ones. Copy, save, keep and use them in any way you are inspired to, including for commercial projects eg advertisements and websites, but don’t sell them. Keep in mind that the majority are unprocessed or ‘unfiddled-with’ so you’ll have to take them as they come.
